| September 17 – 20, 2026 10am – 4pm Multicultural Center (on the east patio, under the awning) 535 N Shaw Ln, East Lansing, MI 48824 | Birchbark Canoe Build with Ron Paquin, Adam Avery, Josh Homminga & Robb Rudd Ronald J. Paquin is a respected master artist in a wide range of Anishinaabe material culture traditions. An enrolled member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, Paquin regularly hosts community events with his wife Molly. He and his apprentices Adam, Josh, and Robb will lead a 3.5 day community canoe build using locally sourced, sustainably harvested materials that he gathers with his apprentices in the Eastern Upper Peninsula. Stop by anytime between 10-4 Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, or Sunday morning between 10-noon, to help with the canoe/wiigwaas jiimaan. |
